I always remember Mary as such an enthusiastic baker. She was infectious with her energy and backed that up with an infinite deep knowledge of the subject. She influenced (or should I say infected) Helen my wife with her passion to the point that it felt like half the house was filled with cooking paraphernalia. She did not stop there either sucking in more of the family with her infectious charm. 


The precision of her cooking came from an acute attention to detail which I latter found was a theme for her in her earlier career. As a jeweler Mary had this traite and we were so lucky to have her source our wedding bands. I feel now that I have a piece of Mary's love on our fingers. We will miss you Mary, you were a complete one off and made the world a much better place  though your thoughtfull and supportive  nudging approach.
