Not long after I'd met Mary in Fine Fare (now co op) she invited me to a Tupperware party. Of course in true Mary style her main aim wasn't to get Tupperware but to get the young mums together. Yes we were young, with our first child and making it up as we went along. As soon as Mary saw the large ring Tupperware jelly mould she had to have it. We weren't sure about this because it was in three parts and looked complicated. We didn't yet know about Mary's prowess in the kitchen. Anyway, i saw the jelly mould wheeled out over the years, out came an immaculate jelly, sometimes layered! Mary was the only person i knew who could get a jelly out of the Tupperware mould in one piece. Its first outing was what I believe was Catherines first birthday party, and everyone suitably impressed!
